A Band or Artist That Has Gotten You Through Tough Times
When I decided I was going to do this challenge again, I said I’d try to find the entries from 2011 when I did it the first time. I found some of them, not all 30 days. I wanted to see if my feelings, thoughts, decisions, actions had changed at all.
30 Days of Truth ~ Day 13 ~ A Band or Artist That Has Gotten You Through Tough Times (Original Post-July 27, 2011)
His music is the ONE thing that gets me through my random bouts of depression. I have 4 albums loaded onto my iPod and when I’m unsettled, Gary Stadler is the music I *need* to get me back on track.
As a matter of fact, I have 2 of my favorite tunes on my player here on this blog.
Give him a listen and let me know what you think.
Yes, Gary Stadler is still my main go to, but my needs and senses have evolved a bit. Depending on the circumstances you can find me playing anything from Old School Country Music like Barbara Mandrell, Crystle Gail, Tanya Tucker, Don Williams, Moe Bandy (you get where I’m coming from with this one), to Andrea Bocelli, Omnia, Within Temptation …P!NK, even some Christian gospel.
To me, music is meant to soothe and help you in whatever trying times you may be going through, while at the same time allowing you to punch out that situation that caused you to have the conflict in the first place. Each person’s individuality and choice in music for their life are what helps all of us cope with whatever the universe throws our way.
Luckily this prompt didn’t specify it had to be ONE band or artist … LOL!
